The Ups & Downs of Retirement… According to Mosby

Retirement is pretty awesome… until your rudder goes on strike. πŸ˜‚

I had an incredible lake day (of course I did! 🐾). But did you know we dogs use our tails like rudders when we swim?

Well… after a marathon swim session, my tail decided it had enough.

The humans call it Swimmer’s Tailβ€”a temporary muscle strain at the base of the tail that can leave it hanging low with little or no wagging.

The good news? A few days of rest is usually all it takes, but my family is keeping a close eye on me. If I don’t improve, my vet may recommend an anti-inflammatory to help me recover.

Retirement score: 10/10.

Overdoing it at the lake: 0/10.

Has your dog ever gotten Swimmer’s Tail after a big adventure? Tell us about it! πŸ‘‡
