So, if anyone ever asks you, “Have you ever met a BIG lottery winner?”

 

You can say YES.

You met Tapio.

 

Winner of one of the largest dog-adoption lotteries ever… over a BILLION dollars, I’m sure of it.

 

I spent my early years wandering the streets as a Chihuahua. And honestly, the fact that I’m here telling you this story is already a pretty big win.

 

But, ohhh… I had a much bigger win coming.

 

As fate would have it, I ended up in the rescue system, hoping someone would give me a chance.

 

Then I got fostered by a lady with THREE HUGE DOGS.

 

Three.

 

Huge.

 

Dogs.

 

No worries. I had them whipped into shape shortly after I arrived.

 

Then my foster mom needed a little help, and suddenly… my lottery ticket appeared.

 

A very kind neighbor took me in “temporarily” while I waited for my forever home.

 

Well…

 

I scratched that ticket PERFECTLY.

 

Because somehow, my “temporary” home turned into the most amazing forever home a little guy could dream of.

 

Now my mom and I read together.

We go on walks.

She built special equipment to help me build muscle and stay strong.

She dresses me for every weather condition like I’m heading down the runway at Fashion Week.

 

I used to have to dive, dodge and weave just to survive.

 

Now?

 

I PRANCE.

 

Like an Arabian horse.

 

Because apparently, that’s what happens when a little street Chihuahua hits the billion-dollar jackpot.

 

I have love.

I have safety.

I have companionship.

I have a mom who takes very good care of me.

 

And I have absolutely NO plans of giving any of it back.

 

So no, I didn’t win the Powerball.

 

I won something better.

 

I won my forever family.

 

And that, my friends, is the biggest jackpot of all.
