Retirement is pretty awesome… until your rudder goes on strike. π
I had an incredible lake day (of course I did! πΎ). But did you know we dogs use our tails like rudders when we swim?
Well… after a marathon swim session, my tail decided it had enough.
The humans call it Swimmer’s Tailβa temporary muscle strain at the base of the tail that can leave it hanging low with little or no wagging.
The good news? A few days of rest is usually all it takes, but my family is keeping a close eye on me. If I don’t improve, my vet may recommend an anti-inflammatory to help me recover.
Retirement score: 10/10.
Overdoing it at the lake: 0/10.
