Hey friends, Jake here.
Smack… lick… smack. 😋
Sorry. I was just reminiscing about some of the lip-smacking good times I had with my foster family.
You see, occasionally my humans would leave the house to do “important things.”
Obviously, they weren’t that important.
They didn’t involve me.
Anyway, whenever they came home, they’d find something a little… odd.
A carrot on the kitchen floor. 🥕
Maybe some lettuce. 🥬
A random vegetable that definitely had NOT been there when they left.
The looks on their faces were priceless.
“How is this happening?”
After all, the only one home was the sweet, innocent, poor three-legged dog.
Surely HE couldn’t possibly…
😂 Oh, you adorable humans.
Turns out three legs were more than enough to master the fine art of opening the refrigerator.
Unfortunately, there is no video evidence of my greatest work.
There IS, however, one eyewitness account involving my humans walking through the door and finding me red-pawed, head in the refrigerator, pulling out an entire head of lettuce. 🥬
The disbelief.
The betrayal.
The fact that apparently I wasn’t supposed to help myself to the salad bar.
They tried putting a chair in front of the refrigerator.
Slide.
They tried a cooler.
Please.
At this point, I considered their attempts less “security” and more enrichment activities.
Then they discovered packing tape.
Packing. Tape.
And just like that…
Jake’s All-You-Can-Eat Produce Bar was officially closed. 😒
It was a good run.
And for the record…
Never underestimate the three-legged dog.
We may be missing a leg. We’re not missing ideas. 😏🐾
❤️ Love,
Jake
Based on true events… at least according to the dog.
